Argyle Elementary & St. Pius X Joint Use School is located in the Lakeview neighbourhood of Regina. JCK Engineering provided structural engineering design services. The building contains two Kindergarten to Grade 8 schools and an integrated childcare facility.
The building’s superstructure is steel-framed and supported on a cast-in-place concrete foundation. It was constructed on the lot containing the original Argyle School building, which remained operational during construction. To accommodate the existing school and the limited size of the lot, one of the schools was designed as three storeys tall to maximize space and allow the construction of both schools to occur concurrently.
