One of the most distinctive buildings in downtown Saskatoon, the Sturdy Stone Parkade is a 464 stall, waffle slab parking structure. It was constructed in 1976 and JCK Engineering began ongoing maintenance work on the parkade in 2014. Our initial assessment of the structure found that preventative maintenance had not been done on the parkade for several years and it was in poor condition. Through our work we have laid out a regular maintenance schedule, and as a result the parkade is being brought back to a good condition which will see it used by the people of Saskatoon for many more years to come.
Each year, our work has seen the repair of large portions of slab and replacement of worn traffic deck membrane.
