The two-storey structure features continuous flight angered piles (CFA), the first such installation in Saskatchewan. These piles can be installed in soft, wet soil conditions. The concrete is injected into a continuously developing borehole, resulting in a concrete friction pile.
The building structure consists of conventionally reinforced concrete, flat slabs and a lightweight steel roof system. The facility is a fully functional, stand-alone regional hospital, delivering all levels of care.
